10 Oils Under $20

Disclaimer: I'm not a doctor. In fact, I have no medical experience whatsoever. That's why you shouldn't take any of my words on essential oils as medical advice. I'm simply sharing my experiences with essential oils and how we use them for our own health and in our home. Please use good judgement and seek medical advice from a professional for any ailment.

I think I know the reason why you're hesitant about trying essential oils. Well, there might be a couple of reasons.

One reason you might be leary of trying essential oils is because they can be pricy. Yes, some oils are almost $100 (Frankinscense, Helichrysum, Rose…), but there are others that are less that $20!

When I realized that a 15ml bottle of essential oil contains about 250 drops, and a 5ml bottle contains about 85 drops, I knew cost wasn't really relevant.

(I mean, I use about 5-8 drops (total) of a variety of oils in my diffuser a few times a day. It would take me months of using one oil several times a day in a diffuser to use a whole bottle.)

Let's talk about a few of my favorite oils that are under $20 with your Wholesale Membership (saves you 24% on retail), and how I commonly use them around my home. There are so many other uses for these oils; I'm just listing a few of my favs.

  1. Eucalyptus - gently rubbed on my chest or around sinus cavities for pressure relief, or with peppermint and water as a bathroom spray.
  2. Grapefruit - diffused in mid-afternoon with a few other citrus oils
  3. Lemon - as a degreaser or cleaning agent, one or two drops in my ice water, rubbed on the signs of aging on my legs, or diffused with other citrus oils
  4. Lime - diffused in mid-afternoon with a few other citrus oils, or in the evening with my calming oils. I find lime to be a generally calming oil with use aromatically.
  5. Orange - same as lime (see above)
  6. Rosemary - in the shower with a drop of peppermint to wake me up, or blended with citrus oils and diffused mid-afternoon
  7. Tangerine - in my favorite sleepy-time blend that I make and diffuse in our bedroom
  8. Christmas spirit - just a wonderful cinnamon-y scent to diffuse in the fall and winter. Cinnamon is also an anti-microbial and will help purify the air.
  9. Purification - diffusing it to deodorize the air, several drops on my new furnace filter, a few drops on my vacuums filter, or diffusing in areas where insects are hanging out.
  10. RC - applied topically to my chest to support my body's natural defense/immune system.
