Tangy Mango Habanero Honey Mustard Sauce {Caribbean-Inspired Cooking - Day 4}

Friends, I'm here to tell you one thing: Never underestimate the power of a condiment. Now, I don't consider myself a foodie. I simply enjoy cooking, especially with food we grow in our backyard or source locally. Sometimes I create a real winner in the kitchen, but more often than I'd like to admit, I have a miss.

When I'm not feeling particularly risky - like when cooking an expensive steak or hard-to-come-by ingredients, I like to stay on the safe side by playing around with condiments that can accompany the main dish.

When Caribbean Trading Company sent us a bottle of their Mango Habanero Mustard, I knew a marinade or glaze would be a bit of a stretch for us. Instead, I whipped up a suuuuuuuper easy honey mustard sauce, starting this Mango Habanero Mustard.

To make your own honey mustard, just stick to the 2:1 ratio - 2 parts mustard, 1 part honey.

This Tangy Mango Habanero Honey Mustard was perfect with oven baked chicken strips. We also added a few dollops to the yolk mixture in deviled eggs for a spicy flavor infusion.

If you’d like to try some Caribbean Trading Company products, just enter our giveaway below. What I love about Caribbean Trading Company is all of their seasonings are all-natural and contain NO MSG or fillers. What you read on the ingredient label is what you get. And trust me, you’ll be able to identify and pronounce every element. One winner will be chosen on August 31 for the prize of Caribbean Seasonings Gift Pack, valued at $45!
