Cheryl's Perfect Party Cottage Cheese Dip (Iowa Food & Family Project)

This post was originally published for the Iowa Food and Family Project "Join My Journey". Each month Kristin Porter from Iowa Girl Eats will be visiting family farms and businesses to learn about the Iowa ingredients that make their way to our plates at home and in restaurants. She and the Iowa Food and Family Project have invited Iowa food and lifestyle bloggers to contribute to this journey. In June, Kristin and the gang are exploring dairy products. Here is a snippet of my contribution to the journey.

Where do your favorite meals originate? Chances are, they were born in a family kitchen - probably YOUR family's kitchen. Some of my favorite meals and dishes come from my mother, but I am so lucky to have seven sister-in-laws who are also great cooks. It just so happens that one of my favorite dairy-based party dips comes from one of these fine ladies, and I'd like to share it with you.

First, let me tell you that my sister-in-law, Cheryl, is a great cook. She's also a great hostess, and many family gatherings are held at her house since she's the at both of these things.

Also, I would love it if you would keep up with ALL of the great posts on the Iowa Food and Family Project's "Join My Journey". I'll be submitting recipes and stories throughout the summer with a group of fantastic Iowa bloggers, and hope you'll follow along!
