Our Lives Would Be Lonely {but have less dog hair} Without Our Dogs.

Yes, indeed, our lives would have much less dog hair if we didn't, you know, have dogs

But it would be so lonely.

We purchased Manny, 'the big one', from a farmer for $20 about five years ago. He was the last of the litter to be picked, and was hiding under a shed. The farmer's child couldn't coax him out from under the shed so the farmer got a skid loader and picked up the shed, his son ran under it and grabbed Manny, and the rest was history.

We adopted Bruce, 'the little one', from the Cedar Valley Humane Society about a year and a half ago. As it turns out, Bruce's brother is also his father. We don't judge. But it might explain how hard he is to train. And how he almost failed Puppy Preschool.

Tell me about your pets, would ya?

  1. We have kitties and like you would enjoy less pet hair but would really hate to know what life was like without them. Our oldest Henry is 15 and we adopted Stella last year at 6 months old. Our middle child Leonard is 9. He is an incredible mouser. Loves to catch gophers too.

    1. We have a 'neighborhood' cat that hangs out on our street and lives under porches. He's awesome! He catches all the mice, and naturally drives all of the dogs on the street nuts because he gets to run free.

  2. Ohhhh, the dog hair! I think I sweep up a fourth dog every day, lol. But I wouldn't trade our 3 big furries.

Thank you for posting at the HomeAcre Hop; I hope you'll join us again this Thursday.

  3. We love our dogs! I have a dog blog if you'd like to check it out. :-) And yes in regards to the hair! Less mess but much more lonely without pets.
