Trail Dog Treats review

I have a special review and giveaway for you today, one that is near and dear to my heart because of the beneficiaries: Manny and Bruce.

I discovered Trail Dog Treats among a slough of other all-natural dog treat companies, but Nancy and her biz appealed to me for two reasons.

First, she and her chocolate lab, Tatum, have a great story. And second, she makes a great product. I mean, take a look at Manny and Bruce's reactions to the Trail Dog Treats sample pack that Nancy sent them to try:

It's clear that Bruce is ready to tear into the package, and Manny is blurry because he's wiggling with excitement.

When I offered Bruce the Rocky Mountain Crunch Ball, he didn't give me a moment after asking him to 'sit' before grabbing the treat and running:

Of course, Bruce is one of those dogs who takes his treats (and mouthfuls of dog food) to the rug in the living room to enjoy in privacy. Weirdo.

Bruce also got to try the Eldorado Energy Cookie, but I wasn't fast enough to snap a photo.

Then there's Manny, my sweet boy. He was much more polite when trying the Sunshine Peak Treat and the Red Rocks Scone Bone:

What I love about Trail Dog Treats is the transparency in the ingredients. I know I'm giving my fur babies treats that are made from safe, wholesome ingredients. I also know that I am supporting an up-and-coming small business with a great mission.

The treats are a hearty portion, too. In fact, I could have broken the Sunshine Peak Treat or Red Rocks Scone Bone into three pieces for Manny and Bruce. Trail Dog Treats does offer Tatum's Trail Mix, which is a mixture of all of the Trail Dog Treats broken into bite-sized pieces perfect for smaller dogs.

You have a chance to win a LARGE Variety Treat Pack for your pooch! The Variety Treat Pack includes all of the Trail Dog Treats signature treats, with nutrition information printed right on the package. Here's what you can expect:

If you live in Colorado, you can also follow Trail Dog Treats on social media and meet Nancy and Tatum to purchase your treats in person. HOWEVER, you don't have to live in Colorado to get the goods. 1. As you know we have a new puppy at our house, a 13 week old black lab named Otto. We had previously had a black lab and golden retriever and lost both of them within a year of each other. We lasted two weeks in our house without a furry critter until the hubs came home with him. I guess we are just a dog house! Would love to win these treats!

  2. I have my little Boston boy who is allergic to chicken and does not handle potatoes well. Finding things to treat him is a really hard job. There are not many treats without chicken.

  8. I have a sweet older black lab, he's 14 this year. He's deaf and not as mobile as he used to be, but he still has that twinkle in his eye and smile on his face when I get out the treats.
