You know what I realized? I didn't share any photos with you from our trip to Mexico earlier this month. I also didn't share a breakdown of how we managed to save money on this trip and avoid additional purchases while traveling.
First, the photos:
Now, the budget:
1. We paid for the trip back in September, which allowed us to take the trip now in January for 'no cost'. {I know it's not a free trip, jeeze. I mean, 'no cost' to our spending strike.}
2. I packed my clothing very carefully to avoid extra weight baggage fees.
3. I brought a water bottle and a snack for the plane.
4. I brought my own books, and swapped them at the resort library when I finished them.
5. I did my own manicure and pedicure, but I broke my spending strike for a spray tan.
6. We had a layover in Atlanta, so we bought a snack and broke the strike again. Waaaaaa!
7. I paid for airport parking, which was $30. I could have rode with one of my in-laws, but it was more convenient to drive myself given the time we had to be at the airport. Several friends offered to drive me, but I didn't take them up on their offer because I didn't want to inconvenience them.

Good job! I don't think I would have come home, the weather looks perfect!
ReplyDeleteIt was hard to leave that weather, and I usually LOVE winter in Iowa!
