Bathroom Reno: REVEAL!

Are you excited for today? Have you been chewing your fingernails with anticipation for this post? Unable to sleep at night, counting the hours until you are able to finally see our bathroom renovation?

If not, amuse me, and let me show you what four weeks of really hard work will get you. (If you don't remember what our bathroom looked like before, you should probably check this post first.) Believe me, I am just as excited to show off our bathroom as you are to see it.

I'm not going to waste any time talking about every photo, let's just get right to the good stuff. Cool?

I love this bathroom, friends. Just love, love, love it. I told John that I feel like we have a 'rich person' bathroom. It's fresh, clean, and new. It has a more functional layout. The decor and fixtures are 'us'.

Also, you might have noticed a new things - objects, if you will - in several of the photos that caught your eye.

Like *ahem* our toilet plunger and brush. A trash can with dirty tissues. Our toothpaste and mouthwash. Towels that don't match, or are hanging haphazardly on their bar. Or Bruce.

From this point forward, you can expect to see photos that are a bit more 'real' than what you saw on this blog before (not that I am a great photog by any means) or on other lifestyle blogs. I'm not going to spend precious time on minute details that are a natural part of all of our everyday lives. Seriously, everybody has a trash can in their bathroom. Sister ain't gonna hide it!

If you want to see my bathroom {and other cool projects!} you're going to see my toilet brush.

You're going to see my dirty dishes.

You're going to see my bra hanging from the ceiling fan.

You're going to see Bruce and Manny.

That's just the way it's going to be.

And I can already tell that you'll love me all the more for it.

Knuckleheads.

    1. Thanks! Almost all of the décor was 'upcycled' from other areas of our home. Huge bonus, especially for my checkbook!

    1. I thought it was pretty eerie the first morning I woke up and there was light coming from the laundry closet. But, it was deal with that, or lose the window. The decision was pretty easy :)

  7. The first thing we did was a bathroom remodel when we bought our new house. I loved everything about the house except for that room. When the contractor finished, I could not have been happier. The sinks and shower were all brand new and now I love being able to relax in this beautiful room each day to start my mourning.

  10. Whenever I spoke to Mr. D. Maratos about making simple changes in my home that could help accommodating more number of people in it, he came up with unique ideas every time. I am impressed with his intellect and power of transforming old styled homes into something majestically designed and created.
