Update: Vermicomposting System.

Say, for the sake of conversation, that you're comin' over to my place for a glass of wine one day. 

You'll pull into the driveway, and this is the scene that greets you. Nothing special, right? 


Look again.


You'll recall that I created a DIY vermicomposting system from a tote from my classroom and some red wrigglers from the local ISU Extension Office.

This is what you'll see by the backdoor as you ring the doorbell:


And this is what's inside:


Food scraps, waiting to be gobbled up by little worms and transformed into beautiful black gold.

I don't mean oil. I mean compost.

Ah! It feels good to be green.
