Fast forward to today, and here I am tellin' ya'll that I've made some progress on my headboard project, and by "progress" I mean I've finished it. And it looks pretty stellar, if you ask me.
Which you aren't.
But it's my blog, so I call the shots.
Here's the before:
I really liked all of the colors in this
And more sanding.
More sanding still needed.
So I continued to sand.
And here's what I came up with.
Beautiful.
Chippy.
Colorful.
And after we washed them up and carried them upstairs, I could see a masterpiece starting to take place.
Yep. This is starting to look goooooood.
John was a bit skeptical.
But trust me, he loves the final product. Don't you?
Over and out.
Is it really lead paint? Did you seal it with poly?
ReplyDeleteHey Beth! I don't know if it was lead-based or not, so out of precaution we did seal it. I don't really know how old the doors are, so we wanted to be safe. Thanks for visiting!
