Happy New Year!

Let me share with you why 2013 is going to be an awesome year:

#1: I'm going to take life less seriously. I'm not going to totally let myself go, don't worry! I am going to make a conscious effort to let go of things I cannot control, not sweat the small stuff, and make my job secondary to myself, my husband, family, and friends.

#2: I'm going to go one thing for others at least once a month. Some of these deeds will center around my work at the Cedar Valley Humane Society, but others will benefit my community and organizations I value. I will also commit a portion of this blog to record my monthly "good deeds".

#3: I am going to strive to be a healthy person. I'll continue logging my fitness and food consumption on myfitnesspal.com and will try to work out about 3 times a week. I'd also like to use my pedometer more - experts recommend walking 10,000 steps per day.
