Life = BUSY.

I haven't posted in a while.

Forgive me?

I feel like I've been runnin' on this hamster wheel of life at warp speed lately, with not a moment to spare to write. And it's killin' me. Seriously.

Here's a little glimpse at a "regular" weekly schedule in our house:

Monday - Work until 5:30 p.m. (John until 2:30 p.m.), then workout at the Y (either a fitness class or on my own), volunteer at the Cedar Valley Humane Society for an hour or so, cook dinner, take my own dogs to the dog park for an hour or so, grade papers and do some lesson planning, clean the house,  and hit the sheets.

Tuesday - Work until 5:30 p.m. (John until 2:30 p.m.), then cardio-kickboxing class at the Y with John,   cook dinner, take my own dogs to the dog park for an hour or so, grade papers and do some lesson planning, clean the house,  and hit the sheets.

Wednesday - Work until 5:30 p.m. (John until 2:30 p.m.), work at my part-time job until 9:30 p.m., grade papers and do some lesson planning, clean the house,  and hit the sheets.

Thursday - Work until 5:30 p.m. (John until 2:30 p.m.), take Bruce to his Puppy Preschool (obedience class), take both dogs on a walk around the neighborhood for an hour or so, cook dinner, grade papers and lesson plan, clean the house, and hit the sheets.

Friday - Work until 5:30 p.m. (John until 2:30 p.m.), take the dogs to the dog park or on a super long walk, then John usually has a show (he's in a band) somewhere in town and I go to the Y for about an hour. I might catch up with a girlfriend, or if John doesn't have a show, we'll do a date night. I might also volunteer at the Humane Society for a few hours, if possible.

Saturday - Wake up early (around 7 a.m.) to do housework and throw something in the Crock Pot. Get ready to work at my part-time job from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.. After work I'll finish dinner and John will head to his show until 2 a.m. When John is gone, I'll spend some time working in the yard (weather permitting) or catching up on some cooking or other projects around the house. I'll do the meal planning for the upcoming week.

Sunday - Get to the Humane Society by 8 a.m. to clean kennels. I'll finish by 10 a.m., head home, shower and either go to my part-time job from noon to 6:30 p.m. or, and this is where I find a little slice of heaven, I get to spend the entire day lounging around the house. I might do a little shopping. We might go to the park. We might have lunch out together. I might even squeeze in a nap.

Wanna trade jobs for a day?

I didn't think so.
